The Original

Florence, Money coach for conscious female entreprenuers
I thoroughly enjoyed participating in the 30 Day Nutrition Challenge. At first I was skeptical about being able to complete the entire program but having the weekly grocery list already planned out for me and trying out new, delicious, easy to prepare recipes helped me stay on track.
I especially liked the fact that as a vegan, the recipes offered choices. For example, instead of using chicken, the recipe offered me other choices such as tofu, tempeh or white beans. It was great to be able to tailor my meals to my dietary requirements.
As a result of the 30 Day Nutrition Challenge, I have improved my overall health, I feel more vibrant throughout the day and I’ve expanded my cooking repertoire to include some really awesome dishes (hello moroccan chickpea stew!). I will definitely be signing up for another Living Kitchen Wellness course!
Courtney, Administrative Assistant:
I took part in the 30-day nutrition challenge and what I enjoyed the most was seeing a new take on old ingredients. I like fruits and vegetables, but I always seem to eat the same ones over and over (hello broccoli, carrots and spinach!) so to receive a full month of meal plans and recipes complete with grocery lists was fantastic!
More than one of the recipes now make regular appearances on our table, especially the “stir fried” vegetables and protein – I add prawns and scallops for the protein). Thank you for expanding my veggie horizons!
Chris, Musician:
Thanks for putting together an amazing program. I think a lot of people would get so much from doing this. I got some very nice new additions to my weekly menu that have brought a new joy to eating. Overall, I’m eating much healthier but I haven’t sacrificed taste or enjoyment. Love it!

Natasha, Graphic Designer/Web Developer
I signed up for the 30 Day Nutrition Challenge as soon as I saw it, and it proved amazing! I was going through perhaps the busiest, most energy consuming time of my life and being able to know each day what I was going to eat, that it was going to be not only delicious but extremely nourishing was absolutely invaluable. Given how much time I spend on the computer I find I’m always looking around for recipes, trying new things and it can sometimes be very inefficient! By the second week I felt more energized that I had years, and was working 12-14 hours a day!
I still reference all of the recipes, and use the sauces/marinades/dressings on a weekly basis. It’s amazing how versatile a few ingredients can be! I also looooove desserts and pull out a Living Kitchen recipe every time I’m looking for something special to make someone!
I would absolutely recommend the 30DNC to anyone who wants to feel better, has a busy lifestyle, and needs to nourish themselves (so anyone!)
Infinite thank-you’s to The Living Kitchen!
Sugar Detox
Hannah:
I’m Hannah and I love being physically active. I’m in my 50s and was really slipping in my diet and exercise. I was hungry all the time and would nip out from the office at coffee in the morning and afternoon to grab a cookie or muffin. I was overweight and bloated and having trouble sleeping. I signed up for the Sugar Detox because The Living Kitchen talked about using diet to regulate even blood sugar levels to get out of the yo-yo-ing that causes us to binge on sweets. Also, the recipes looked really tasty.
My husband and I stuck very closely to the daily menu for about 2 weeks and then we just improvised. By the end of the 30 days I was over my sugar cravings completely, feeling more energetic, and sleeping better. I’d been tormented by gassiness and it was almost completely gone.
I felt so good by the end of the month that I’ve kept going and am now in my 4th sugar-free month. The improved diet motivated me to go to the gym regularly and my fitness levels have improved hugely. I’ve lost 12 pounds, I’m still sleeping great, and even the thought of eating something really sweet sets my teeth on edge.

Rena, Accountant
I have always had digestive issues and stomach problems, so after seeing a health specialist at the end of January I was put on a strict no sugar, no yeast diet. Working full time (at my busiest time of year), with three teenage boys, and a husband on shift work, the task of completely revamping my diet was overwhelming, and scary. What would I eat?
Too my sheer delight a couple of days after I was attempting my new diet regime, I came across living kitchen wellness, and their sugar detox plan. It was an extreme life saver to have a meal plan to follow, without having to create it myself, and food that I could actually enjoy. For lots of meals I was able to triple the recipe for my family, and add a few extra sides for the boys, while still giving myself the lunch meal for the next day. (A very nice change from all the frozen food I used to eat for lunch). It was such a benefit to just take the list to the grocery store, and to remove the “what the heck am I going to eat today?” stress.
For me, following the plan completely was easy! I didn’t even miss the sugar, and the benefits were amazing!! Gone were the headaches, and the total exhaustion I was feeling. For the first time in a long time I had energy, and I was getting some good night sleeps. It was amazing to see how much sweeter foods tasted after the chemicals were all stripped out of what I was eating, and my body was detoxed of all the nasties. It was also crazy that I didn’t crave any of the empty foods I had given up. My body was satisfied, and happy with the healthy foods I was eating
If you are looking to change your diet, and improve your health, I would highly recommend Living Kitchen Wellness as a good kick start to your life transformation. I still go back to those original recipes quite often, and have been able to maintain a clean diet for a few months now (with the occasional social glass of red wine of course).
At the end of march I went back for another blood cell analysis, and the results were amazing. He couldn’t believe the difference, just due to the change in my diet.
Thanks so much ladies for the start to my new life.
Gluten Free
Shawna, Sales
I was really nervous to take the Gluten Free Challenge because I love baked goods and bread, particularly bagels. But, I knew that a lot of my health concerns were probably connected to eating gluten- I had issues with bloating and feeling really tired and foggy headed a lot of the time.
I found that there were so many recipes for me to enjoy in the menu plan, that it really expanded my cooking repertoire and what I thought I knew.
I am really excited and proud of myself because I actually tried out new things and now see that there are so many different flavours and foods to prepare that do not contain gluten- and I am obsessed with the chocolate bean brownies!!!
I feel so much better now and I actually wake up with more energy and am able to focus better throughout the day at work. I also experience far less bloating and I think my skin has cleared up…which I wasn’t even expecting!!
Thank you sooo much for your help! I am excited to share what I have learned with the people
in my life.
Alkaline Life
Rachel, Fitness Instructor:
Even as someone who was pretty healthy before, I still had things that I complained about. I was dealing with some inflammation, particularly with my skin- I kept getting weird rashes and itchy skin. I already had a good understanding of my health and what to eat and I recently was told about alkalinity. I didn’t really know much about it, but I kept hearing that eating a more raw diet would be helpful for reducing inflammation and might help.
I wanted to heal my skin, so when I found out about this course, I wanted to try it. I thought having menu plans and recipes would actually make it easier for me to eat alkaline foods.
This course turned out to be awesome- because not only was I able to eat more fresh, raw vegetables that were flavourful and interesting, but I was also able to cut out most of the foods that were contributing to inflammation (like sugar, dairy, and gluten). Having a menu plan was exactly what I needed to make this happen. Even though I knew what to eat, I really needed the structure to make it happen successfully in my life. The best thing about it- was that all of the recipes were SO full of flavour and never bland (I always used to hate eating raw veggies and boring salads).
My skin is doing a lot better now and I have so much more energy in general. My boyfriend also loves the food I have been making, and he was so skeptical of this diet when I first started out on it. Thank you /*
